this past weekend i went to provo to spend time with haley. it was a long awaited trip. we have been trying to find a weekend where i can go up there to see her but either one of us is busy or we're fighting. in a way, we're like sisters. anywho.
i drive up there friday evening, the sun is setting and i have never driven up to provo before, it wasnt too bad. UTAH DRIVERS ARE TERRIBLE. i just had to say it. i am a person who likes to go the speed limit so i can maintain my absolutely clean record...no speeding tickets or even being pulled over. the speed limit in utah is 75, but utah drivers seem to always be in a hurry as they go at least 10 over. i settled for a nice 80, though when i was singing out loud to a song i noticed that my speed would get to 85-90 on accident. ohh what happens when my mind isnt on the road, though it rarely is. driving is quite boring.
i get to provo around 8ish, and haley is waiting for me the parking lot, boy its much colder in provo than in cedar. luckily, i prepared for the weather. 18 years of living in mn has trained me well. we go to her dorm, and she has a hallmate there and shes watching a knight's tale. highly entertaining movie and heath ledger will always be a pennical of hottness.
i was also starving so after the movie we go down to the vending machines. i havent seen such a variety of food in a very very long time. an even cooler part of it was that her card, normally one would assume its just for the cafeteria, but alas, it also works for the vending machines and various stores across campus. i got a lunchable, icecream cookie sandwich, and chocolate milk :)
haley and i shared her bed, it was most uncomfortable at first but the second night wasnt as bad, prolly cuz we stayed up till past four just talking and i was soooo tired that i zonked out. oh i love being able to touch my head to the pillow and within five minutes im out.
on saturday we got up at 11. this is very very very very impressive for me, for i do not usually get up on saturdays till 2. i took a shower, it was interesting. though, it wasnt too terrible. my only complaint is that they only had curtains and there wasnt much room to shave legs so i kept trying to do it quickly but the water would wash the soap off, up down up down, i eventually gave up and did just the razor and water. owell.
then we went to the cannon, byu's cafeteria, like 2 something for breakfast 3 something for lunch and like 4-5 something for dinner. the food was really good, it wasnt just like fake nasty food that normal cafeterias serve, it was real food. though that wouldnt matter to dad, he would just be in heaven that its an all you can eat for every meal.
after lunch we walked around campus, oh i love it there. the feeling i had was so peaceful and calming. it was soooo nice to be out of cedar and be genuinely happy. we went to the bookstore and looked at a twilight movie book thing, ohh im excited. and then she showed me rape hill though there has only been on reported rape/attack on that hill. whereas SUU has a reported 7 rapes a semester. we already lost a girl in september. though most of the rapes on this campus, we're told, is because of parties and such, not just a girl wandering around a night, though thats what happened to the girl in september. aaaaanywho. it made me really want to go to byu all over again. i'd so be going there if i got in last time, and i doubt i'll make it in this time either. i added byu and usu to my list of applications for a transfer.
hmmm we saw ducks, in a duck pond. i dont like birds...they freak me out.
we tried to see the dark knight at the dollar theater, but it was sold out all day since the day before. its a brilliant movie.
oh on saturday we watched two movies, save the last dance and there and back? or something its with demi moore, rosie odonnel, christina ricci, you know, the story of young friends and they meet again when they are boring adults. you know.
now now now on sunday, we went to haleys ward. they actually have boys in their ward. and all their meetings were in classrooms haha. it was kinda cool. i took a nap while she did hw. then we went ot dinner and then i went back to dreadful cedar. the way back took longer unfortunately. ihad to stop for gas, 2.39 when in cedar is 1.89!!!! AHSFLSKJFLSDKFJSDLFJSDLFKjs
LAME LAME LAME stupid gas stations in the middle of no where taking advantage of the fact that they are the only gas stations for miles! wheres human decency?
oh and my cd player decided to be stupid and lame and wouldnt release the cd. so at the gas station i took the plastic part out and just stuck my hand in the hole and took the cd out myself. then put the plastic thing back on and put another cd in and it worked just fine.
i think the trip to provo and back takes about a tank and two quarters. either its the high speeds, or im not doing something right or the tank is small idk.
anywho. im going to the midnight showing of twilight with emily who lives across the hall! yayayay! i thought i wasnt going cuz i only had one ticket but didnt want to go alone and turns out emily already had one for the same theater! :) :) :) yay! im excited. emily is really cool, shes funny, i like her. shes normal. haha.

chihuahua
i want to go to sea world and i want to go inside the shark tank in a cage.
i also want a long haired female chihuahua puppy.
getting that puppy is now my goal. i will care for her and she will be my best friend. we'll cuddle and play and i'll feed her and brush her hair. :)

how uncomfortable
this past weekend was pretty fun!
thursday i went to an event held by the institute called trunk or treat. it was pretty cool, my only complaint is that i dont think they prepared enough. they ran out of candy before 830 and it started at 8. LAME.
BUT
i got to meet corbin allred :)
he is in saints and soldiers. :) :) :) :)
he goes to SUU!!!! hes wants to be a doctor, and he is aprils lap partner in biology! AHH
that's him. ahh i was so nervous and excited. that makes a total of TWO famous people i've met. holla :)
ok and then after the trunk or treat i watched its a wonderful life for my film class. SO good! i was so moved by it that i wrote a note haha.
then on friday i ate an old hot dog cuz i was huuuuuungry but that turned out to be a very bad idea. :(
then at 10 me lisa and stacia went to the school's halloween dance. umm...bleh.
first off, you could barely hear the music
secondly, the music wasnt that danceable
i was the first one of the three of us to have someone attempt to grind with me. i almost died. it was one of the guys who dressed as a chip and dale. no, not the cartoon squirrels, but like some vegas thing where the guy wears tight pants no shirt and a bow tie. now, dont get me wrong, all of those chip and dale boys that night were incredibly buff and good looking but i did NOT want to ground upon.
that was one of the reasons i did NOT want to go. i've seen movies and tv shows of parties where guys just start grinding with random girls. not my cup of tea!
anywho, so im dancing with lisa and stacia when i fell something behind me. i instantly freeze and start squeezing lisas arm and stacia is telling me to breathe. im not doing any hip movements cuz i didnt want to mislead the boy. im just standing still, freaking out. he gets closer and i can feel his manhood and thats when i wanted to cry. yikes.
anywho, he gives up cuz im not giving him anything.
phew.
the only person i'd even think about grinding with is tony. and theres no way i'd grind with another guy anyways. i could never do that to tony and i know he wouldnt want me to and i also know he wouldnt grind with other girls either.
the next one to have an experience is lisa, though she does grind with this guy. the guy though turns her around to face him really quickly and they are frontal grinding. you can tell shes a bit uncomfortable haha. then the guy gets real close to her face and leans in and kisses her hahaha. and he keeps trying to kiss her again and lisa is just like no.. no i have to go, i have to go! haha poor lisa. she said he smelled like alcohol which explains why he was so forward.
later on that night we spot him with this girl and they are frontal grinding, but its like humping. it was sooo...nasty. but other ppl were having sex on the dance floor too so it was overall a very uncomfortable dance party.
stacia was next, some guy came up behind her and started. she seemed to enjoy it at first but after like 3 songs, she wasnt having fun anymore. and i saved her by going up to her and saying, hey me and lisa are heading out now, and shes like oh ok, and tells the guy she has to go. phew.
we do indeed leave after that. we stayed there for about 2 in a half hours. though prolly for the first half hour we were watching a band play. oh goodness that band was one of those bands that screamed at you. i didnt like it.
so we go back to our apartment and two guys come over, dakota and this other guy that lives above us, i dont remember his name and we watch disturbia. that guy that i dont know his name is really nice though. he came over for dinner laast sunday when it was just me and lisa. i feel like i know his name, but i dont remember it. :/
anywho, then on saturday i did some laundry and i FINALLY got food. yesss. i ran out of food prolly on tuesday. but i set a budget for myself and went over it so i refused to spend money till november. but i did lose some weight, i tend to loes weight when i dont consume as much food as normal. normal i'd say. haha
i hope my bread doesnt mold again afer a week. that would suck. i try eating sandwiches everyday but sometimes i dont want a sandwich. gosh.
ok. its sunday. i have to study math cuz i have a math test on my birthday tomorrow. i am hoping for a C. i somewhat feel i know factoring a little bit, at least enough for get half credit on each problem. :)
ok. im 19 tomorrow. one last year of being a teenager. if i was a daredevil i'd want to do some extreme things, but im not, im quite wimpy actually. though i wouldnt say no to surfing lessons, or parasailing, or an air balloon ride. as long as i dont have to plummet quickly to the ground, im good.

colleges
i have a new post below this one too. just so you know...
i did my first assignment for my stupid as ever LM 1010 class. if i had known that this university required me to take unimportant, already learned material, university classes, i would have looked somewhere else.
colleges i considered applying to transfer to
carleton
-paulina told me about how they have a quidditch team. and once i heard that, i had a huge desire to also go there. until i found tuition was over 45,000 a year. yikes
st. thomas
-also incredibly expensive but i dont remember how much it costs. plus i believe i needed more credits.
colleges im going to apply to transfer to
madison
-i really liked their campus, and they have the major i want. to make it a triple bonus, yes tony goes there too. downside: costs a lil bit more than suu, 20,000 a year. whereas suu is about 17-18,000 a year. though if you consider the academic record and stance on each school...suu is embarassing. tbirds...thor...embarassing
eau claire
-its a decent school, not too shabby. requires at least a 2.5 gpa for transfers, unlike all the other uw schools which require a 2.0. so thats promising. (madison requires a 3.0) and its not expensive for instate, and it has my major. and karla goes there
whitewater
-eh. im not entirely interested in this school. but its less than an hour away from madison. so theres a bonus. closest school to madison...oh and it has my major i want. and its cheap
winona
-right major. and i'd live with mairead and paige. and its cheap. but i'd be in the Rochester mn singles ward...gag me.

how to annoy your roommate
theres this group on facebook, how to annoy your roommate, and these are the suggestions i found the most amusing
-When your roommate comes in, pretend that you are on the phone, screaming angrily and shouting obscenities. After you hang up, say, "That was your mom. She said she'd call back."
-Keep a tarantula in a jar for three days. Then get rid of the tarantula. If your roommate asks, say, “Oh, he’s...... around here somewhere....
-Buy a jack-in-the-box. Every day, turn the handle until the clown pops out. Scream continuously for twenty minutes.
-Set your alarm clock for 3 AM. Push the doze button every 5 minutes when it beeps for the next five hours, each time telling your roommate that you'll wake up in five minutes.
-As soon as your roommate turns the light off at night, begin singing famous operas as loud as you can. When your roommate turns on the light, look around and pretend to be confused.
-Give your roommate a jar of peanuts. Wait until s/he has eaten half of them, then explain they used to be chocolate-covered, but you licked all the chocolate off of them.
-Spend all your money on Transformers. Play with them at night. If your roommate says anything, tell him/her with a straight face, "They're more than meets the eye."
-Take up playing a musical instrument. Practice constantly in the room, but don't play anything coherent. Play "Hot Cross Buns" or similar three-note songs twenty times until you get it perfect.
-Tell your roommate that someone called and said that it was really important but you can't remember who it was.

-Follow a few paces behind your roommate, spraying everything he/she touches with a can of Lysol.
-Put black tape over the eyes of the people in your roommate’s pictures. Complain that they were staring at you.
these were the ones that i laughed out loud for, literally. they may be funnier when tired.
